AGAPE 2'4m5f Love is not talking or feeling, it's doing

GIRL1 -- What is love?

GIRL2 -- Excuse me?

GIRL1 -- I said, what is love?

GIRL2 -- How about this? Is this love? (points to trio)

(trio enters, crosses by Girl1, Girl2)

GIRL3 -- I love your new necklace.

GIRL4 -- Thank you. I love your new shoes.

GIRL5 -- Thank you. Don't you just love this beautiful weather?

ALL ---- Yeah. I love it. (exit)

GIRL1 -- No, that can't be love. It's just talk.

GIRL2 -- Well, then, maybe this is love. (points to couple)

(couple enters hand-in-hand, crosses by Girl1, Girl2)

GIRL3 -- I love you.

GUY1 --- I love you.

BOTH --- (sigh aloud, exit)

GIRL1 -- Well, that COULD be love. But it could be just talk
too. How do we know it's really love?

GIRL2 -- Well, maybe this is love. (points to couple)

(couple enters hand-in-hand, crosses by Girl1, Girl2)

GUY2 --- Do you know how I know I love you?

GIRL4 -- No, how?

GUY2 --- Because (pats his chest) I feel it in my heart.

BOTH --- (sigh aloud, exit)

GIRL1 -- Well, maybe he's just feeling good because his dinner
tasted good. He may not feel the same tomorrow.

GIRL2 -- I know! Here's how you can be sure it's love. (points
to couple)

(couple enters hand-in-hand, crosses by Girl1, Girl2)

GUY3 --- Just to prove I love you, I will marry you.

GIRL5 -- You will?

BOTH --- (sigh aloud, exit)

GIRL1 -- That COULD be love. But what if he doesn't marry her?
What if he says it but doesn't mean it?

GIRL2 -- (snaps fingers) I've got it! Love is not something you
say. It's not even something you feel. It's something you DO.
Like this. (points to guy4)

GUY4 --- (enters approaches GIRL1 and GIRL2) Hey, girls, I
thought you might be thirsty, so I brought you a drink of ice
cold water. (hands them each a cup of water)

ALL -- (to audience, exiting) Now that's love!
